READINESS

Helping our students thrive in the classroom and equipping them for their future, goes beyond the tablet, paper, and pencil. Scholastic Achievement, Moral Code, Curriculum, and Parental Involvement are instrumental. The focus must be returned to academics.

LET THEM BE CHILDREN

Innocence is precious and as adults, we’re supposed to protect that innocence not chip away at it. Children are our most precious resource and they are our future. They need the tool of discernment and an ability to stand on their own feet.

LOVE OF COUNTRY

Service before Self! Students should understand the true meaning and intent of the United States Constitution and the enormity of the sacrifices made by our Founding Fathers in our Declaration of Independence.

TRANSPARENCY

Yes, meeting agendas and then meeting minutes are duly approved and posted online. But that’s only a part of the story. I am committed to full transparency and open communication with the public. Board Policy 1005.04, “Communication with the Public” was unanimously eliminated by the current Board on March 4, 2024.

TAXES

Over 50% of your property taxes are designated for education.  This is true whether you have children or not or if they attend home, private, or public school.  I have a vested interest in assuring our money is being wisely spent.

SAFETY

Every single mission I flew with the Air Force, the words, “Safety is Paramount” were spoken.  I believe there are several very complex issues our children face each day and each of these issues deserves every effort possible to keep our children safe. A simple, district-wide no cell phone policy would be helpful to remove a point of contention between teachers and students.
